Effective pet training for a happier and healthier pet
KD's K9 Training offers expert dog training services, including training for service and therapy dogs, as well as obedience and scent work training at all levels. With a lifelong passion for dog training and a focus on canine behavior, our experienced trainer is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners achieve their training goals.
We offer all of the AKC Evaluations: Canine Good Citizen, STAR puppy, Urban, and Advanced! These are great for those who want to show off that they have a trained dog, and also have their dog earn a title, certificate and ribbon!
If you need help with your dog and aren't sure what to do, we offer a $20 consultation.
*This fee is taken out of your final price if you sign up for classes after!
We do offer group training sessions:
Puppy- for those little ones under 6 months old that need the basics like sit, leave it, come, etc!
Beginner- for those older than 6 months old but needing the basics!
Intermediate- learning the harder cues like heel and relax!
Advanced- for those who have the basics and intermediate classes complete but want to move on to ignoring other dogs and people in public!
Looking for a fun way to bond with your pet? Try our scent work training classes! We'll teach you and your pet how to find specific smells in a variety of different environments. This is a great way to tire out your dog or teach them a new and useful skill!
We offer 3 of the Official Scent Work Trial Scents or you can choose your own to work with!
Our therapy dog training program will teach your pet all the basic and advanced material, as well as cues specific to therapy dog. This class is all about the handler and dog relationship.
We are so excited to partner with Eastern Maine Medical Center for future classes!
Join us for extensive service dog training. We will evaluate your dog first, and work with you to create the dog you need for your disability. We currently offer PTSD and Anxiety Disorder related service dogs, but are willing to look at other cases!

Kaidey is a well-versed experienced dog trainer with a focus on obedience, therapy, and service dog training. She will be your pups direct educator throughout the duration of their programs.
Kaidey began dog training from a very young age. raising litters and training them in household manners. It was a natural progression in life for her to continue her education professionally in the field as an adult.
She began training professionally in 2020 under the guidance of the director and creator of PetSmart’s Therapy Dog training program, she quickly branched out to absorb knowledge through interaction with national accreditation organizations, trainers, and local small business owners in Arizona. Kaidey has experience in training all personalities and breeds of dogs, and does not turn away a k9 for being reactive, nervous, stubborn, afraid, old, young, or any specific breed.
It is Kaidey’s passion for the industry and her love for animals and the bonds she creates with her k9 students and families that drives her to continuously seek self improvement, think outside the box to develop a comprehensive training program specific to every individual k9, and maintain numerous professional certifications, including those through the AKC.
We love our pet parents and puppy clientele, so feel free to message us anytime! We are always open to setting up times to meet you and your pup!

We require proof of all vaccinations that your dog has and that they are up to date on, such as DHPP and Rabies (4mos+).
It is recommended to have Bordetella, Heartworm, and Flea/Tick prevention at the appropriate age as we live in a forested state.
We do know that socialization is best done between the ages of 4 weeks and 5 months, based upon current research of dog development.
HOWEVER at KD's K9 Training we do not discriminate based upon age or dog breed, and believe dogs are capable of learning whether they are 8 weeks or 18 years old.
Our training sessions typically last 1 hour, but can be customized to fit the needs of you and your pet.
